This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Oversee venue sourcing for intricate, high-value client meetings and events.
• Serve as a strategic consultant, ensuring sourcing decisions align with client objectives and business goals.
• Develop and manage comprehensive sourcing strategies from start to finish.
• Utilize Cvent and other tools to handle RFPs and collect venue proposals.
• Conduct site inspections and negotiate contracts that reflect ALTOUR and client interests.
• Supervise venue contracting and ensure a seamless transition to Meeting Planners for execution.
• Maintain and communicate precise venue-related budget information for client decision-making and financial reporting.
• Ensure efficient and accurate data entry in Cvent and other internal systems.
• Provide financial insights to assist with project close-out.
• Collaborate with Sales, Planning, Finance, and Event Technology teams.
• Stay updated on sourcing trends and mentor colleagues.
• Participate in supplier education, including familiarization trips and seminars.
• Remain knowledgeable about ALTOUR supplier agreements and best practices in sourcing.
• Lead training initiatives and support the onboarding or upskilling of junior team members.
• Cultivate a positive, collaborative team atmosphere.
• Inspire and influence peers to reach business goals.
• Act as a sourcing subject matter expert and informal mentor.
• 7+ years of relevant experience in the meeting and events industry with a focus on sourcing.
• 3-4 years of experience planning high-profile programs, ideally with a sourcing emphasis.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience.
• In-depth understanding of meetings and incentive planning with a strong emphasis on venue sourcing.
• Capability to align sourcing strategies with client business objectives, brand standards, and budget considerations.
• Proven ability to manage multiple, high-complexity projects with competing priorities and deadlines.
• Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail for budgets, proposals, and reporting.
• Comfortable navigating uncertainty and resolving problems under tight deadlines.
• Skilled in establishing trust with clients, including senior stakeholders and executive-level contacts.
• Exceptional negotiation and communication abilities.
• A collaborative team player capable of working cross-functionally and independently.
• Passionate about mentorship and knowledge-sharing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Microsoft Teams.
• Experienced in Cvent for RFP management, proposal analysis, and contract negotiations.
• Comfortable using CRM, budget management, and sourcing intelligence platforms.
• Preferred: Familiarity with SmartSheet or similar tools for project tracking, reporting, and task management.
