This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland, +1 more state.
• Collaborate with Account Executives to identify, advance, and finalize revenue opportunities with civilian, defense, and intelligence community agencies.
• Manage the technical relationship with agency prospects throughout the pre-sales process and aim for a technical success.
• Lead or assist with post-sales relationships and renewals when necessary.
• Demonstrate the Coder platform from the perspectives of developer, administrator, and AI-agent workflows, including in classified and air-gapped environments.
• Implement Coder on cloud platforms, such as GovCloud, as well as on-premises Kubernetes or VM infrastructures, including air-gapped and disconnected networks.
• Conduct proofs-of-concept that showcase Coder’s benefits for agentic and LLM-powered development workflows.
• Cultivate subject-matter expertise in Cloud Development Environments and agentic AI development.
• Act as the agency’s representative, relaying insights to Engineering and Product teams.
• Document feature requests and issues in both public and private Git repositories.
• Troubleshoot Coder installations, networking, and Kubernetes components during evaluations, even in classified settings.
• Contribute to the Coder documentation by submitting pull requests.
• Identify technical, security, and mission-related barriers and create swift, effective proofs-of-concept.
• Translate technical proficiency into compelling business cases for program managers, security officers, and mission leaders.
• Recognize technical, security, and procedural risks and engage relevant stakeholders accordingly.
• Provide feedback from field experiences to enhance product and marketing strategies.
• An active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph is mandatory at the time of hiring.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Must be physically located in the DC / Maryland / Virginia (DMV) area.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Solutions Engineer in selling infrastructure or developer tooling.
• Ideally, experience selling to federal, defense, or intelligence community clients.
• Familiarity with AI tools at both user and infrastructure levels, including coding agents, assistants, model proxies, and LLM routing layers.
• Ability to discuss agency evaluation and adoption of AI tools credibly, even in classified environments.
• Strong customer-facing skills when engaging with technical stakeholders and program offices.
• Capacity to convert technical challenges into mission value.
• Knowledge of agentic AI software development use cases.
• Comfortable leading architecture demonstrations and conducting deep-dive troubleshooting in secure, restricted-access settings.
• Strong fundamentals in Linux and command-line expertise.
• Over 3 years of hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proficient in AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, or on-premises/air-gapped Kubernetes deployments.
• More than 3 years of experience with Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts, including ingress controllers, proxies, load balancers, and DoD/IC network boundaries.
• A mindset geared towards startup-speed execution, ownership, and a player-coach attitude.
