Senior Solutions Engineer, Splunk – Manufacturing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Act as a reliable technical advisor for manufacturing clients.

• Serve as the main technical authority throughout the sales process.

• Facilitate high-level discovery discussions to identify customer cybersecurity and performance issues.

• Create and architect Splunk implementations that consolidate data from enterprise IT systems, cloud setups, and digital business platforms.

• Design and present tailored product demonstrations and Proof of Concept initiatives.

• Showcase real-time threat detection, incident response automation, and comprehensive observability benefits.

• Collaborate with Account Executives, Product Management, and Professional Services teams.

• Align Splunk functionalities with digital strategies in the manufacturing sector.

• Speak at industry conferences and internal gatherings.

• Develop reusable technical materials, white papers, and demo setups for enterprise security and observability scenarios.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience in Pre-Sales Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or Technical Consulting.

• Familiarity with contemporary security frameworks, including SIEM, SOAR, and threat detection, as well as observability concepts like APM and infrastructure monitoring.

• Capability to convert intricate technical ideas into clear business advantages for executive stakeholders.

• Experience with large-scale data platforms or log management solutions.

• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to facilitate technical workshops and whiteboard sessions.

• Preferred experience with cloud-native monitoring and security solutions such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Splunk certification or equivalent platform expertise is highly desirable.

• Knowledge of modern application architectures, including AI stacks, microservices, containers, and Kubernetes.

• Proficiency in data modeling, scripting with Python, PowerShell, or Bash, and API integration.

• Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and enterprise IT compliance standards.

• Previous experience in a global manufacturing company or a specialized software provider serving the manufacturing sector is preferred.

• Willingness to travel to customer locations for on-site assessments and strategic planning sessions.
