Senior Solutions Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Clearly define the F5 product strategy, messaging, positioning, value proposition, and solutions aligned with customer business goals.

• Offer technical expertise through sales presentations, solution designs, demonstrations, and proofs of concept using in-person and virtual formats, whiteboards, and various other mediums.

• Guide and educate sales teams on the value of F5 solutions and the underlying business drivers.

• Assess opportunity viability and navigate organizational structures.

• Collaborate with the Account Manager to drive the sales process by identifying the Technical Decision Maker and securing technical validation, support, and sponsorship.

• Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the customer lifecycle.

• Work alongside internal technical and sales teams, sharing best practices, updates, and expertise.

⛳️ Requirements

• A BS/BA degree in a relevant field (CS, EE, MIS) or equivalent experience.

• Proven experience as a Sales Engineer.

• Familiarity with traffic management and load-balancing technologies such as F5, Citrix, Riverbed, Kemp, or similar.

• Understanding of HTTP, web servers, and web applications.

• Knowledge of associated protocols including TCP/IP, WebSocket, SPDY/HTTP2, SSL, SMTP, POP, DNS, etc.

• Proficiency in Linux-/UNIX-based systems.

• Expertise in networking technologies and Internet security products and services.

• Experience with cloud service providers such as GCP, AWS, Azure, etc.

• Knowledge or experience with microservices architecture, systems, and tools (K8s, Docker, etc.).

• Skills in API development and/or management.

• Familiarity with a DevOps environment, including tools, processes, and culture.

• Experience working with enterprise customers in the financial services sector.

• A minimum of 8 years of experience is required.
