Senior Solutions Architect – Remote or Hybrid

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Craft architectural solutions that align with business goals and enterprise technology strategies.

• Create modernization roadmaps for essential insurance platforms and digital functionalities.

• Facilitate architecture evaluations, design sessions, and technology decision-making processes.

• Design solutions that support policy administration, underwriting, claims, billing, distribution, and customer engagement.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to update legacy systems and enhance operational efficiency.

• Promote API-first, event-driven, and cloud-native architectural patterns.

• Lead the adoption of cloud-native technologies such as containerization, orchestration, and modern application platforms.

• Establish integration strategies utilizing APIs, microservices, and contemporary platform capabilities.

• Identify and activate practical AI and automation opportunities that improve employee and customer experiences.

• Act as a trusted advisor to business, product, engineering, and architecture teams.

• Guide technical teams and advocate for architecture best practices.

• Impact strategic technology decisions across various initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of technology experience, including 5 years in architecture or technical leadership positions.

• Experience in Property & Casualty insurance, with knowledge of policy, claims, underwriting, or billing areas.

• Proven experience in leading large-scale modernization or digital transformation projects.

• In-depth understanding of cloud-native architecture, APIs, integration patterns, and distributed systems.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, container platforms, and modern application architectures.

• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

• Must have eligibility to work in the US without future sponsorship needs (i.e. Lawful Permanent Resident or US Citizen).

• Experience in modernizing mainframe or legacy insurance platforms.

• Knowledge of Pega, Guidewire, Duck Creek, Majesco, or similar insurance platforms.

• Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), API management, and event-driven architectures.

• Understanding of AI-enabled solutions, intelligent automation, and digital servicing capabilities.

• Architecture certifications (TOGAF, Azure, or similar) are preferred.
