Senior Solutions Architect – Public Sector

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the technical architecture for post-sales implementations in the public sector, effectively converting agency requirements into scalable Cyware architectures.

• Create integrations across SIEM, EDR, case management, cloud security technologies, and information-sharing environments tailored for FedRAMP, IL5, and GovRAMP clients.

• Develop, package, and sustain reusable use cases and reference architectures focused on threat intelligence, security automation, agentic/autonomous SOC workflows, and collective defense.

• Offer expert advisory on compliance and accreditation standards, including FedRAMP High, NIST 800-53, CMMC, IL5, and GovRAMP.

• Construct demonstrations and narratives aimed at technical decision-makers and executives.

• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams on advancing AI and agentic capabilities.

• Equip Sales Engineering, Technical Delivery, and Customer Success teams with technical resources, reference architectures, and best practices.

• Assist in strategic deal initiatives through planning, architecture, and execution phases.

• Generate solution architecture models and accompanying documentation.

• Implement, optimize, and integrate log management and analytics platforms, such as ELK-based stacks.

• Define solution strategies for RFPs, RFIs, and security questionnaires.

• Manage technical relationships with agency stakeholders, systems integrators, and government resellers.

• Act as the field-facing representative for Product and Engineering regarding public sector requirements.

• Architect Cyware Intel Exchange solutions to facilitate the ingestion, normalization, enrichment, and operationalization of diverse threat data sources.

• Advise clients on threat modeling, intelligence-driven defense, proactive threat hunting, data governance, indicator lifecycle management, and minimizing false positives.

• Design and execute TIP integrations with enterprise security technologies utilizing APIs, automation, and custom connectors.

• Counsel enterprise clients on CTI strategies and maturity roadmaps.

• Conduct technical discovery workshops and perform gap analyses.

• Develop customer success plans to optimize CTIP ROI and utilization.

• Report directly to the VP of Solution Delivery & Customer Success.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be located in the Northern Virginia region or DC area, USA.

• US Citizenship is required in accordance with 8 U.S.C 1324b(a)(2)(C).

• Over 10 years of experience as a seasoned professional in solution architecture, sales engineering, or security architecture, demonstrating a successful history of deploying cybersecurity products for Federal customers.

• Proven experience in responding to and architecting solutions for government RFPs/RFIs.

• Must possess an active federal security clearance or be eligible to obtain one.

• A minimum of 3 years dedicated to security solution architecture experience is required.

• In-depth knowledge of Cyber Threat Intelligence, Incident Response, and Vulnerability Management is essential.

• Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK, the Cyber Kill Chain, and the Diamond Model.

• Hands-on experience in designing and implementing security automation and SOAR workflows.

• Experience in developing automation using Python, including playbooks, REST API integrations, and scripting.

• Knowledge of SIEM, EDR/XDR, UEBA, CMDB, NAC, and threat-intelligence enrichment sources.

• Strong understanding of enterprise network architecture, operating system concepts, and IT security fundamentals.

• Demonstrated problem-solving skills in cybersecurity through automation and adherence to industry-standard practices.

• Ability to visually communicate with security engineers and present to senior executives effectively.

• Capable of operating across the Product/field boundary and empowering others.

• Possession of certifications such as CISSP, CISM, Security+, or relevant platform-specific security certifications.

• Strong executive presence with the capacity to translate technical depth into business and mission outcomes.

• Preferred: prior experience with federal/SI SOC technology deployments.

• Preferred: experience in creating AI agents for practical cybersecurity applications.

• Preferred: established relationships within DoD, civilian agencies, or SLTT security programs.

• Preferred: AWS GovCloud security certifications.

• Preferred: experience in maintaining a FedRAMP-authorized environment in a cybersecurity or SaaS vendor context.

• Preferred: AWS Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer Professional certification.

• Preferred: experience with container security scanning and software supply-chain security, including SBOM and image signing.

• Preferred: familiarity with SOAR/TIP or broader cybersecurity product ecosystems.
