
Senior Solution Sales Executive, FED Experience

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Drive sales and enhance business opportunities within targeted Federal Agencies across Civilian and DoW.
• Support the federal sales team and all sales segments.
• Engage in intricate solution-based discussions at the C-Suite level to secure new business for advanced solution sets.
• Promote the adoption of server, storage, networking, cloud, virtualization, cybersecurity, and services technologies.
• Cultivate existing key account relationships and forge new connections with clients and partner/vendors.
• Achieve or surpass revenue and GP targets through account strategies that foster positive client business outcomes.
• Communicate Connection’s value proposition effectively.
• Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews.
• Develop strategic project plans.
• Provide updates regarding new offerings and services.
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients and account managers.
• Present to managers and C-Level stakeholders.
• Represent Connection at customer and vendor events when requested.
• Independently oversee multi-step sales cycles.
• Assess customer needs, align solutions to business challenges, and tailor positioning by stakeholder.
• Lead pricing, objection handling, negotiation, and closing strategies.
• Create proposals, follow-ups, executive summaries, business cases, and internal deal updates.
• Lead discovery calls, demonstrations, presentations, and customer meetings.
• Maintain an accurate pipeline, including next steps, close dates, and deal risks.
• Operate autonomously and coordinate internal resources.
• Prior experience supporting Federal customers.
• Knowledge of FedRAMP, CMMC, NDAA, Supply Chain Security, and TAA compliance.
• Advanced technical expertise in IT and Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) vendors.
• Familiarity with datacenter technology and solutions, encompassing networking, servers, storage, virtualization, cloud, and managed, professional, and consulting services.
• Proven IT sales track record in developing and expanding customer accounts while meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Strong business development and account maturation capabilities.
• Ability to proactively identify or create business opportunities within existing and potential customer accounts.
• Competence in qualifying deals and managing time efficiently to maximize effectiveness and win rates.
• Skill in conveying the “art of the possible” to stakeholders at various organizational levels.
• Understanding of financial sales and the ability to create financial proposals for clients.
• Proficiency in managing resources and complex sales engagements involving multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance preferred; active security clearance not required.
