
Senior Solution Sales Executive – FED Experience

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Drive sales and enhance business opportunities within targeted Federal Agency accounts across Civilian and DoW.
• Support the federal sales team and all sales segments.
• Engage C-Suite stakeholders in intricate solution-based discussions to secure new business.
• Promote the adoption of server, storage, networking, cloud, virtualization, cybersecurity, and service technologies.
• Develop and implement account strategies to achieve or surpass revenue and gross-profit objectives.
• Build and cultivate relationships with clients, strategic business partners, and vendors.
• Communicate Connection’s value proposition effectively.
• Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews.
• Create strategic project plans.
• Provide updates on new offerings and services.
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients and account managers.
• Present to managers through C-Level stakeholders.
• Represent Connection at customer and vendor events when required.
• Independently oversee multi-step sales cycles.
• Assess customer needs and connect solutions to business challenges.
• Lead pricing, objection handling, negotiation, and closing strategies.
• Produce proposals, follow-ups, executive summaries, business cases, and internal deal updates.
• Lead discovery calls, demos, presentations, and customer meetings.
• Maintain an accurate pipeline, next steps, close dates, and deal risks.
• Effectively coordinate internal resources.
• Prior experience supporting Federal customers.
• Familiarity with FedRAMP, CMMC, NDAA & Supply Chain Security, and TAA compliance.
• Advanced technical knowledge of IT and Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) vendors.
• Understanding of datacenter technology and solutions, including networking, servers, storage, virtualization, cloud, and managed, professional, and consulting services.
• Proven IT sales experience in developing and expanding customer accounts while meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Strong business development and account maturation skills.
• Capacity to proactively identify or create business opportunities.
• Ability to qualify deals and manage time efficiently.
• Capability to communicate technology possibilities to stakeholders across various organizational levels.
• Understanding of financial sales and experience in developing financial proposals.
• Proficiency in managing resources and complex sales engagements involving multiple stakeholders.
• Capability to obtain a security clearance is preferred; active security clearance is not required.
