Senior Solution Consultant – Sustainability

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Sweden, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with sales and internal stakeholders to identify and develop technical customer requirements for Workiva solutions.

• Discover customer technical needs through a consultative approach and provide solutions utilizing the Workiva platform.

• Offer constructive feedback to internal teams for product enhancements.

• Drive sales opportunities that involve integration and data management both within and outside the Workiva platform.

• Connect technical expertise with customer requirements throughout the sales cycle.

• Facilitate discussions with IT regarding how the Workiva platform integrates into customer technology ecosystems.

• Work alongside Regional Sales Directors and customer-facing teams to identify customer challenges and needs.

• Supply cross-functional Workiva resources during customer engagement initiatives.

• Craft tailored solutions to transform customers’ finance processes.

• Develop or modify custom demonstration solutions.

• Oversee projects and relationships for major customers.

• Foster trusted relationships with senior customer teams.

• Identify opportunities for finance transformation through innovative applications of the Workiva platform.

• Collaborate with Sales on territory and pipeline development, engagement strategies, qualification criteria, and opportunities for account growth.

• Construct and present business cases and proposals that articulate Workiva’s value and ROI.

• Act as the main technical partner for enterprise opportunities.

• Execute joint customer initiatives with select Workiva business partners.

• Advise enterprise IT, architecture, and line-of-business leaders on modern data management, automated workflows, and practical AI capabilities.

• Conduct solution discovery and value presentations across Financial Reporting, GRC, and Sustainability solutions.

• Ensure smooth customer onboarding and long-term success in collaboration with partner and customer support teams.

• Mentor and train fellow team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• 6+ years of relevant experience in pre-sales/solution consulting or management consulting (e.g., Big 4 or equivalent) with a focus on solution consulting, technical sales, or solution delivery.

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred, or equivalent practical experience.

• Extensive knowledge of sustainability and ESG reporting frameworks (CSRD/ESRS, GRI, ISSB, TCFD, EU Taxonomy) along with carbon accounting practices across Scope 1, 2, and 3 under the GHG Protocol.

• Proven experience in preparing and delivering software presentations/demos or implementing complex software platforms.

• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence customer decisions and enhance sales strategies.

• Excellent leadership skills and client-facing consulting experience.

• Willingness and capability to provide training on domain knowledge to diverse audiences, both internal and external.

• Proficient in project and time management.

• Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

• Experience working in team environments.

• Outstanding client-facing presentation skills, including the capability to simplify complex technical topics into clear, business-value-focused discussions.

• Understanding of finance and accounting processes within a company.

• Demonstrated ability to position and consult on modern data strategies, enterprise integrations, and practical AI applications in complex enterprise ecosystems.

• Willingness to travel up to 30% for customer and internal meetings.
