Senior Software Testing Engineer, Salesforce

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and implement comprehensive end-to-end and integration testing scenarios across various system components.

• Analyze defects, identify defect trends, and evaluate quality metrics to reveal issues related to systems, processes, or coverage.

• Create strategic test plans and designs for intricate business logic, integrations, and workflows spanning multiple systems.

• Work collaboratively with developers, analysts, and stakeholders to ensure alignment on testing methodologies and quality standards.

• Lead hybrid testing efforts for complex Salesforce and enterprise integration projects.

• Develop, sustain, and enhance automated testing suites utilizing Java-based frameworks.

• Review automation outcomes, troubleshoot failures, and ensure stable regression coverage.

• Evaluate release readiness based on testing outcomes, defect trends, quality risks, and established quality gates.

• Identify critical defects and quality risks, providing data-driven recommendations to support mitigation strategies.

• Establish and manage quality gates for complex business and integration scenarios.

• Define, monitor, and analyze testing and defect metrics.

• Promote continuous improvement in test coverage, execution efficiency, and testing methodologies.

• Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to the development of testing standards and QA community practices.

• Oversee the defect lifecycle, including triaging, prioritizing, escalating, and communicating quality risks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in software testing and QA engineering, including hands-on Java-based test automation.

• Strong comprehension of manual test design, risk-based testing, release quality evaluation, automation strategies, and QA methodologies.

• Proven experience in creating strategic test plans, designs, test cases, test reports, and assessing release quality.

• Proficient in defect management, severity and priority evaluation, defect trend analysis, and risk communication.

• Practical experience with API testing, web services, integration validation, automated API checks, and test evidence gathering.

• Strong hands-on experience with Java programming for automation testing.

• Capability to write SQL/SOQL queries for data validation, troubleshooting, and collecting test evidence.

• Experience in defining or applying quality gates, test metrics, and criteria for release readiness.

• Ability to mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to the enhancement of testing standards and processes.

• Experience in developing or overseeing automated testing strategies for complex scenarios.

• Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical issues.

• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within cross-functional teams.

• Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

• Knowledge of test automation patterns, maintainability practices, code reviews, and techniques to prevent flaky tests.

• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines for executing automated tests.

• Salesforce certifications are a plus.

• Background in regulated environments such as SOX, GDPR, or HIPAA is advantageous.

• Experience in security testing is a plus.

• Must reside in the United States; applicants living outside the US may not be considered.

• Must be able to work Eastern US hours.
