Senior Manager, Quality Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Oversee, mentor, and nurture Quality, Automation, and Performance Engineers.

• Develop and implement the Quality Engineering and test automation strategy.

• Lead automation initiatives across UI, API, integration, and end-to-end testing.

• Create scalable and maintainable automation frameworks that integrate with CI/CD pipelines.

• Incorporate Generative AI and AI agents for generating feature files, creating tests, scripting automation, analyzing tests, and other testing tasks.

• Establish governance and review standards for test assets generated by AI.

• Provide technical leadership for performance, load, stress, scalability, and reliability testing.

• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, DevOps, and Architecture teams to ensure quality is embedded throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Monitor quality metrics and enhance automation coverage, test execution time, flaky-test rates, defect detection, and release confidence.

• Assess and integrate emerging technologies in automation, AI, and performance engineering.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in Quality Engineering, test automation, or software testing.

• More than 4 years of experience leading teams in QE, automation, or performance engineering.

• Extensive experience with contemporary automation frameworks and CI/CD integration.

• Proficiency in BDD and Gherkin feature files.

• Hands-on experience with Generative AI, coding assistants, or AI agents in the context of software engineering or testing.

• In-depth knowledge of performance testing, bottleneck analysis, scalability, and capacity planning.

• Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, cloud, and distributed application environments.

• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.

• Preferred: Experience with automation/testing tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Karate, Appium, Cucumber, JMeter, or LoadRunner.

• Preferred: Programming skills in Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or C#.

• Preferred: Knowledge of cloud platforms, Docker, Kubernetes, and observability tools.

• Preferred: Experience with LLM platforms, AI coding assistants, or agent orchestration frameworks.
