Senior Software QA Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain robust and scalable automation frameworks and scripts utilizing C#, Selenium, RestSharp, Appium, and associated technologies.

• Gain in-depth knowledge of OneStream products to formulate effective automation solutions that align with product functionalities and requirements.

• Spearhead the development and enhancement of the automation framework.

• Provide support for a comprehensive CI/CD automation infrastructure.

• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and business analysts throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Identify and initiate opportunities for process optimization.

• Ensure the quality, organization, and maintainability of the code within the automation suite.

• Develop comprehensive test cases and integrate automation into the product's quality strategy.

• Investigate automation failures and manage production-related issues.

• Report test metrics, pinpoint bottlenecks, and resolve issues in collaboration with development teams.

• Assist business analysts, customers, and testing teams with inquiries related to automation.

• Lead peer code reviews and provide guidance to QA engineers during test case evaluations.

• Identify gaps in test coverage and implement strategies for mitigation.

• Direct the development of new quality tools and infrastructure.

• Propel functional and technical enhancements of products.

• Mentor automation engineers and offer technical advice.

• Assess quality, automation metrics, and standards.

• Evaluate Quality Engineering principles and suggest improvements.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree in an engineering or IT-related discipline.

• At least 3+ years of programming experience.

• 5 years of experience in developing automation tools and automating web applications.

• Proficiency in C#, Selenium, RestSharp, SQL, Azure, and GIT.

• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming.

• Experience with Azure and building pipelines.

• Ability to write reusable libraries and comprehend design patterns.

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum Development Methodologies.

• Capacity to analyze and communicate technical issues, lead discussions, and influence decisions.

• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.

• Proficient in documenting thorough and well-considered test cases for complex functionalities.

• Solid foundational knowledge of multi-tiered architecture.

• Strong troubleshooting abilities and client engagement skills.

• Proficient in estimating and risk assessment.

• Ability to foster collaboration across scrum teams and the organization.

• A 3-year degree, preferably in Computer Science.

• Experience with object-oriented concepts in any programming language.

• Familiarity with Azure or AWS cloud platforms.

• Experience leading and collaborating with offshore teams is advantageous.

• Preferred knowledge and experience in SQL and developing database queries.

• Ability to define, refine, support, and adhere to established processes.

• Capacity to mentor others in specific aspects of the OneStream product.
