Senior Software Engineer – Test

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop, implement, and sustain tailored testing frameworks for Illumina’s primary analysis software.

• Collaborate with the development team to comprehend software modifications and adjust tests as needed.

• Identify deficiencies in current tests and create new tests to enhance reliability and coverage.

• Analyze test failures, prioritize issues, and work alongside developers to uncover root causes.

• Broaden and uphold test coverage as primary analysis functionalities and responsibilities progress.

• Guarantee that tests are transparent, thoroughly documented, reproducible, and easy to maintain.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in creating production-quality code utilizing Python or C#.

• Knowledge of CI/CD tools, workflows, and troubleshooting techniques.

• Experience in writing and maintaining automation for intricate systems.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Capacity to work collaboratively with colleagues.

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Bioinformatics, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 5 years of professional experience in developing production-ready software code and tests.

• Familiarity with testing data-intensive, scientific, or computational analysis software.

• Experience with custom automation frameworks.

• Working knowledge of Python data visualization libraries.

• Basic understanding of software release process documentation and deliverables.

• Experience in benchmarking and performance monitoring software on hardware.

• Exposure to product software lifecycle tools.
