Senior Software Engineer, Salesforce

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Participate in the development of AWS-hosted services and Salesforce packaged products within the platform engineering team.

• Design, architect, and implement global, fault-tolerant, and highly available multi-tenant cloud services.

• Create Salesforce features utilizing Apex and Lightning Web Components.

• Develop Salesforce managed packages, including Second Generation Packages (2GP).

• Utilize CumulusCI and Salesforce DX workflows, including Scratch Orgs and unlocked packages.

• Employ Git-based version control for collaborative development and conduct code reviews.

• Monitor and troubleshoot services hosted on AWS.

• Engage with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps deployment methodologies.

• Create and maintain integrations between hosted services and customer Salesforce instances.

• Provide mentorship to junior engineers and developers.

• Facilitate SDLC process management, governance, safety, issue resolution, and production incident handling.

• Ensure adherence to quality, security, and compliance standards.

• Plan, execute, and oversee product releases.

• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams on technical decisions and requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant experience working alongside Product and Engineering teams to assess technical requirements and deliver well-architected, global, fault-tolerant, highly available cloud services.

• Extensive engineering expertise in TypeScript, Node.js, React, PostgreSQL, and DynamoDB.

• At least 2+ years of experience in Second Generation Package (2GP) development.

• Practical experience in building and maintaining Salesforce managed packages.

• Familiarity with vendor software, technologies, and tools for enterprise solutions.

• Strong understanding of Agile development practices and secure application development concepts, including OWASP Top 10 and threat modeling.

• Capability to design and implement REST, SOAP, JSON, and XML integrations.

• Experience with Git and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Salesforce certifications are advantageous but not mandatory.

• Experience in building or maintaining AppExchange products is a plus.

• Prior experience in Salesforce Support Engineering or within a product-focused team is a plus.
