Senior Software Engineer, Python, AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Conduct requirements analysis, system design, Python and AI development, troubleshooting, performance enhancement, and provide technical support.

• Design, develop, and sustain scalable Python applications utilizing FastAPI and Pydantic.

• Implement solutions for asynchronous and parallel programming using asyncio.

• Perform code reviews to ensure compliance with established guidelines and maintain superior code quality.

• Integrate and experiment with multimodal Generative AI models, such as text-to-image and text-to-audio models.

• Work both independently and collaboratively as part of the team.

• Offer clear guidance to team members and assist in managing daily operations.

• Maintain regular communication with the client.

• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, coaching, and exemplify best practices.

• Develop and deploy enterprise-level technology and AI-driven tools that support tax service delivery.

• Over 5 years of development experience.

• Strong background in Python and FastAPI.

• Experience with Pydantic for data validation and schema definition in Python applications.

• Practical experience with asyncio and asynchronous/parallel programming.

• Familiarity with Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs).

• Experience in developing agentic AI applications.

• Understanding of RAG pipelines and hybrid search utilizing vector databases.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Detail-oriented approach.

• Excellent organizational and self-management capabilities.

• Proficient in structuring work, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines.

• Exceptional troubleshooting and communication abilities.

• Intermediate+ level of English proficiency.

• Experience with Azure Cloud or other major cloud platforms, including Service Bus, Data Lake, Blob Storage, Redis, and other SaaS offerings (preferred).

• Familiarity with MCP and A2A agentic protocols (preferred).

• Hands-on experience with LangGraph, including long-term memory, human-in-the-loop workflows, and state management (highly desirable).

• Familiarity with .NET (a plus).

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and scalable system implementation.
