This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Conduct regular interviews with engineering teams to pinpoint workflow challenges and prioritize necessary tools or architectural modifications.
• Design and implement reusable patterns using Nest.js, React.js, and TypeScript.
• Optimize PostgreSQL queries and enhance Kafka producer/consumer patterns for dependable message delivery.
• Take ownership of and refine Kubernetes and ArgoCD configurations to ensure automated and secure deployments.
• Lead technical challenges across teams, including the re-architecture of shared libraries and improvements in service-to-service communication.
• Refactor intricate codebases into manageable, testable, and modern modules.
• Mentor and coach engineers throughout the organization.
• Research, prototype, and implement internal tools, libraries, and frameworks to enhance CI/CD processes, local development, and observability.
• Introduce frameworks and architectural transformations through documentation, workshops, and personalized support.
• Set an example in code reviews, maintainable design, testing methodologies, and system-level risk mitigation.
• Communicate technical trade-offs across functions and align varying perspectives.
• Propel advancements in DORA metrics, system latency, developer velocity, and knowledge sharing.
• Over 8 years of experience in software engineering with a proven history of leading teams and providing technical guidance.
• A strong passion for mentorship with a track record of advancing the technical careers of junior and intermediate engineers.
• Previous experience specifically in Platform, Infrastructure, or Developer Experience (DevEx) teams.
• Extensive professional expertise in the Node.js/TypeScript ecosystem, with experience in scaling Nest.js backends and React.js frontends.
• Practical experience managing containerized workloads using Kubernetes and ArgoCD.
• Strong skills in PostgreSQL (including query optimization and schema design) and Kafka (event-driven architecture).
• Demonstrated ability to deconstruct complex legacy code and replace it with scalable, maintainable architectures.
• Experience working in high-ambiguity environments and translating unclear technical frustrations into prioritized roadmaps.
• Proven capacity to foster psychological safety and trust within a team while elevating engineering quality standards.
• All remote hires are required to travel to Orlando, Florida at least twice a year for Town Halls and team collaboration, along with orientation in Orlando, Florida.
