Robotics DevRel Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide technical support to open source users on platforms such as Slack, StackOverflow, and Reddit, including robotics engineers tackling real-world deployment issues.

• Write original blogs, tutorials, and documentation that explore the convergence of robot learning and data infrastructure.

• Create and edit short-form social media videos and long-format videos on technical subjects related to robotics.

• Design and deliver unique online and in-person courses focused on computer vision and machine learning applications in robotics.

• Develop FiftyOne integrations with various robotics technologies, models, datasets, simulation environments, sensor data formats, and perception frameworks.

• Assist in organizing Meetups and hackathons.

• Present at both in-person and virtual conferences and workshops centered on robotics and autonomous systems.

• Collaborate directly with the open source FiftyOne community.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of professional experience in machine learning, specifically with hands-on application of computer vision in robotics systems.

• Master's or PhD in computer science, robotics, or a related discipline, with a focus on computer vision.

• Practical experience with robotics-specific data types and tools, such as MCAP/LeRobot and Isaac Sim.

• Strong proficiency in Python programming.

• In-depth knowledge of TensorFlow, PyTorch, and NumPy.

• Exceptional writing skills.

• Familiarity with screen recording and editing software.

• Demonstrable links to blogs, articles, or papers authored.

• Evidence of participation in conferences or events as a speaker.

• Active engagement in open source communities, with related links.

• Access to GitHub repositories showcasing the candidate's code.

• Capability to thrive in a remote-first, collaborative environment utilizing GitHub and Slack.
