Senior Software Engineer – Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and manage platform services that serve as the backbone of Anvilogic's application.

• Work on systems that authenticate users, securely connect to customer data repositories, and manage groups, roles, and permissions.

• Create and design the next generation of Anvilogic products to promote growth for both the company and its customers.

• Troubleshoot and resolve critical production issues across services and various levels of the stack.

• Collaborate with product management to define and implement non-functional requirements in services.

• Partner with company stakeholders to develop large-scale features and enhance engineering standards, tooling, and processes.

• Disseminate platform and security best practices via mentorship, documentation, and brown bag sessions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of experience in software development.

• Professional background in Java development.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience with AWS, relational databases like Postgres/MySQL, and big data pipelines such as Kafka and/or Kinesis.

• Proven experience in defining non-functional requirements, measuring SLOs, and balancing technical foundations with product timelines.

• Ability to rapidly understand the platform tech stack, utilizing Java deployed on AWS.

• Experience in building multi-tenant SaaS solutions for enterprise clients.

• Familiarity with deploying services using infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, AWS SAM, CloudFormation, or CDK).

• Knowledge of observability technologies such as Grafana and AWS CloudTrail.

• Working understanding of data lakes (Snowflake, Databricks).

• Some experience with LLMs, implementing standard patterns (Agents, RAG, Tools), and utilizing popular frameworks.

• Proficiency in Scala or Python.
