Senior Software Engineer, Kotlin

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +16 more states.

📋 Description

• Design and develop scalable new solutions and enhancements for NinjaOne’s Unified IT Professionals Operations product suite.

• Create high-quality software applications for device management across iOS, Android, Chrome OS, and Windows platforms.

• Contribute to the development of large-scale backend software applications utilizing Kotlin and Java.

• Ensure that quality is an essential aspect of engineering work and maintain quality-first standards.

• Commit code and deliver products using AI-driven tools.

• Apply design patterns and address enterprise-level software challenges.

• Develop software that operates at scale across millions of endpoints.

• Engage in multi-agent systems with AI-powered tools.

• Collaborate with industry leaders, including Apple and Google, on enterprise mobility strategies and solutions.

• Execute additional duties as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 10 years of experience in Kotlin or Java software development for product applications, or equivalent expertise.

• More than 4 years of experience working with highly scalable software systems.

• Proficient understanding of object-oriented programming design principles.

• Familiarity with API best practices and REST service development using frameworks such as Spring Boot.

• Advanced knowledge of relational database design and development.

• Experience in both client-side and server-side development for responsive messaging.

• Proficient in RabbitMQ; familiarity with Kafka is an advantage.

• Practical experience in developing microservices, deploying on ECS, and operating them in AWS.

• Awareness of DevOps practices and tools is appreciated.

• Expertise in caching systems and experience with Redis is preferred.

• Strong proficiency in Kotlin.

• Must be located in the USA and reside in one of the specified eligible states.
