This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, construct, and sustain scalable infrastructure-as-code utilizing Terraform and AWS CDK across essential AWS resources, including VPCs, compute (EC2/ECS), load balancing, RDS/Aurora, IAM policies, and security groups.
• Architect highly available and resilient cloud environments that host core applications, striking a balance between simplicity, performance, and scalability.
• Create automation tools in TypeScript to reduce operational toil across cloud and corporate infrastructures.
• Implement Policy-as-Code guardrails to enable application engineers to deploy features safely, securely, and independently.
• Drive cloud financial management efforts, which include cost optimization, budget tracking, and resource attribution.
• Lead Disaster Recovery initiatives, encompassing business continuity planning and routine testing exercises.
• Develop infrastructure for Octane’s consumer lending marketplace, facilitating fast and flexible customer financing for dealerships.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Cloud Platform Engineering.
• A Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
• Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and/or AWS CDK, with direct experience in module development, state management, and automated deployment workflows.
• Extensive hands-on experience with core AWS services (VPC, IAM, EC2/ECS, RDS, S3, CloudWatch) and managing Kubernetes clusters (EKS); AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or Security Specialty) are preferred.
• A solid foundation in build automation & CI/CD (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, ArgoCD), networking fundamentals, and zero-trust platforms such as Zscaler.
• Capability to independently manage multiple projects, prioritize deadlines, and address complex analytical problems with minimal oversight.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate across teams, build consensus, and translate intricate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven leadership and mentorship skills, with experience in guiding and developing junior engineers.
