Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer – Infrastructure Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Execute IBM z/OS / MVS systems programming tasks.

• Install, maintain, upgrade, and provide support for software utilizing SMP/E.

• Manage mainframe software applications.

• Collaborate with JCL and ISPF/TSO.

• Provide support for VTAM and TCP/IP.

• Work with IBM Connect, CA Session Manager, and CA Spool.

• Contribute to the infrastructure, architecture, and design of mainframe systems.

• Utilize BMC AMI tools, including AMI OPS Automation, AMI OPS Monitors, or AMI Output Management.

• Offer technical leadership while overseeing projects/programs and facilitating stakeholder communication.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven hands-on experience with IBM z/OS / MVS Systems Programming.

• Familiarity with SMP/E for software installation, maintenance, upgrades, and support.

• Experience in installing and administering mainframe software.

• Proficiency with JCL and ISPF/TSO.

• Knowledge of VTAM and TCP/IP.

• Experience with IBM Connect, CA Session Manager, and CA Spool.

• Understanding of mainframe systems infrastructure, architecture, and design.

• Proficient in using BMC AMI tools such as AMI OPS Automation, AMI OPS Monitors, or AMI Output Management.

• Ability to provide technical leadership and manage projects/programs while communicating effectively with stakeholders.
