Senior Software Engineer, Golang

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Make significant architectural decisions and convert business requirements into stable, high-performance distributed microservices architectures.

• Utilize knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and space/time complexity to develop memory-efficient, event-driven components for mass messaging and e-commerce workloads.

• Create scalable, robust, testable, efficient, and maintainable backend code primarily in Golang, alongside Python workflows.

• Analyze code and perform thorough peer reviews to enhance product quality and ensure timely project delivery.

• Diagnose critical production issues and work with the deployment team to optimize CI/CD code deployment.

• Write clean, understandable code and create technical documentation, including Godoc comments and API schemas.

• Take ownership of features from start to finish and participate in architectural and system design decisions.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop robust, scalable solutions for high-volume messaging and e-commerce workloads.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field.

• 10 years of professional backend software development experience in an Agile/SCRUM team setting.

• Experience in a product-oriented engineering environment, working with microservices, scalable distributed infrastructure, and event-driven paradigms.

• Extensive, production-level expertise in the Go programming language, including paradigms, constructs, idioms, and common Goroutine and channel patterns.

• Demonstrated experience with popular Go web frameworks (e.g., Revel, Gin, Echo) and router packages such as Gorilla Mux.

• Familiarity with Go’s templating language and code generation tools (e.g., Stringer).

• Experience managing Go dependencies through established workflows.

• Practical engineering experience using Python for asynchronous backend scripting, services, or data utilities.

• Working knowledge of relational databases (SQL) and NoSQL environments.

• Capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a cross-functional team.

• Exposure to or experience with Ruby on Rails is a plus.

• Understanding of Git and version control workflows.
