Senior Software Engineer – Golang

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and create highly scalable distributed backend systems.

• Develop core services using Golang, with an emphasis on performance and reliability.

• Utilize PostgreSQL and Redis to construct robust, data-intensive systems.

• Architect systems that span microservices, networking layers, and cloud platforms.

• Collaborate with the CTO and senior engineers on strategic technical initiatives.

• Prototype and productionize new platform functionalities and internal tools.

• Shape engineering direction and establish technical standards across Kong.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive production experience with Golang.

• Proven experience in designing and managing distributed systems at scale.

• Strong production experience with PostgreSQL and Redis.

• Expertise in building backend systems that prioritize high availability, scalability, and reliability.

• Excellent systems thinking, debugging, and performance optimization abilities.

• Familiarity with Kubernetes, networking, or API gateways is a plus.

• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure is advantageous.

• Contributions to open source projects or internal platform tooling are a bonus.

• Background in platform, infrastructure, or developer tooling products is a bonus.
