Senior Software Engineer, GO

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create and execute efficient, scalable, and dependable Go-based microservices tailored for real-time and high-throughput tasks.

• Steer the technical design and complete implementation of intricate features from initial product requirements through to deployment and monitoring.

• Identify and address performance bottlenecks, enhance database queries, and bolster the resilience of distributed systems under load.

• Suggest and lead architectural decisions, assessing trade-offs and effectively communicating recommendations.

• Guide Software Engineers I, II, and III through code reviews, collaborative coding, and technical mentorship.

• Establish and refine engineering practices related to code quality, testing, observability, and deployment processes.

• Work closely with Product Managers, Designers, QA, and engineering teams to convert product objectives into technical solutions.

• Engage in the on-call rotation, contribute to root cause analysis, and spearhead long-term reliability enhancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–8 years of professional experience in software engineering, with a substantial focus on developing production Go services.

• Demonstrated history of managing and delivering complex, multi-component features within a team setting.

• Experience in designing and managing distributed systems, microservices, or event-driven architectures.

• Strong expertise in PostgreSQL or similar relational databases, including schema design and query optimization.

• Advanced proficiency in Go; capable of writing idiomatic, well-tested, production-grade Go code.

• Comprehensive understanding of API design (REST, gRPC, or GraphQL).

• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation of deployment processes.

• Understanding of observability principles, including logging, metrics, and tracing.

• Ability to navigate ambiguous challenges and develop clear, actionable solutions.

• Comfortable giving and receiving direct technical feedback.

• Excellent written communication skills, particularly in a fully remote work environment.

• Capable of balancing in-depth technical work with collaborative design and planning efforts.
