This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Develop and deploy comprehensive product features for both candidate and recruiter experiences, encompassing API and data model design as well as frontend implementation.
• Enhance real-time, AI-driven experiences utilized in interviews and assessments, focusing on model orchestration, streaming UX, tool/function-calling patterns, and reliability.
• Contribute to systems that integrate various LLM providers while managing latency, cost, observability, and non-deterministic behaviors.
• Create and refine internal tooling that ensures safe, repeatable, and auditable engineering processes.
• Collaborate with product, design, and platform teams to transform ambiguous challenges from initial definition to production rollout.
• Provide leadership and mentorship through code reviews.
• Plan and execute initiatives related to technical debt, architecture, and observability.
• Engage in on-call operations, enhancing runbooks, reliability, and incident follow-up procedures.
• Senior-level experience in delivering production software from end to end in a fullstack role.
• Strong backend engineering capabilities in at least one contemporary language and ecosystem.
• Practical frontend experience utilizing a component-based framework.
• Ability to quickly adapt to unfamiliar technology stacks and perform effectively in mixed-technology settings.
• Hands-on experience with agentic development workflows such as Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, or similar tools.
• Experience in building production AI systems, including LLM API integrations, prompt and context design, streaming responses, tool/function calling, and token or cost-aware engineering.
• Extensive code review experience with a track record of enhancing code quality and mentoring colleagues.
• Proven ability to identify and mitigate technical debt, alongside contributions to architectural planning and documentation.
• Experience in maintaining production system health through monitoring/alerting enhancements, incident response, and operational follow-through.
• History of collaborating with product and technical leads on backlog preparation, scoping, sizing, and delivery planning.
• Strong foundational skills in testing, observability, debugging, and safe incremental delivery.
• Excellent written communication skills and a collaborative ownership mindset in remote teams.
• Required availability overlapping with the core team during Pacific time 7:00–16:00.
• Willingness to provide 24-hour on-call coverage for one week approximately every eight weeks.
• Relevant equivalent experience is acceptable; comprehensive knowledge of the entire desired stack is not required.
• Remote-first collaboration across multiple time zones.
• Strong emphasis on written communication.
• Access to AI tools as a standard part of the engineering toolbox.
• High-quality code reviews and shared ownership of project outcomes.
• Influence as a senior individual contributor on the direction of the technical roadmap.
• Participation in an on-call rotation: 24 hours for one week approximately every 8 weeks.
