Senior Software Engineer – Full Stack

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Create new functionalities for both frontend and backend systems.

• Design and implement features for two upcoming products.

• Work closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to establish technical requirements and deliverables.

• Perform code reviews to ensure compliance with coding, quality, and security standards.

• Collaborate on architectural decisions that align with long-term business objectives.

• Keep abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance development processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a computer-related field.

• Over 7 years of experience in software development.

• More than 4 years of experience in cloud development, covering both frontend and backend.

• Proficiency in English and Spanish, both in written and spoken forms.

• Strong skills in Node.js/JavaScript, including familiarity with both module systems.

• Experience with AWS serverless architecture, including Lambda, SQS, S3, Secrets Manager, DynamoDB, and API Gateway.

• Knowledge of Serverless Framework v4 and serverless-offline.

• Proficient in PostgreSQL, using Knex and Objection.js.

• Experience in writing and rolling back database migrations.

• Understanding of React and Next.js 14 fundamentals, with experience in form-heavy and table-heavy CRUD UI.

• Familiarity with working within an internal design system, including resolving CSS specificity and source-order issues.

• Knowledge of SOAP and XML processing.

• Experience in TIFF/PNG processing and PDF generation.

• Proficient in Express, including serverless-express in Lambda and EC2 deployments.

• Experience with Jest for unit and integration testing.

• Experience with Cypress for UI testing.

• Background in an Agile/Scrum development environment.

• Familiarity with AI coding tools.
