Senior Software Engineer, Frontend

📋 Description

• Develop high-quality code for intricate scenarios while ensuring comprehensive test coverage.

• Analyze and convert product requirements into effective designs to guarantee high-quality distributed application systems that are modular, configurable, reusable, efficient, user-friendly, secure, compliant, scalable, and maintainable.

• Oversee design and code reviews across multiple applications to ensure adherence to best practices, compliance with Mercury standards, and high quality.

• Guide the sprint team in delivering new or enhanced features, addressing any obstacles to achieving high-quality solutions in the sprint backlog.

• Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to secure the successful delivery of the intended functionality.

• Mentor and provide technical direction to fellow engineers on the team, cultivating a culture of innovation and excellence within Mercury engineering.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Minimum: Over 5 years of software programming experience with at least 2 years in the technologies employed at Mercury, along with more than one year of experience in leading and mentoring engineering teams.

• Preferred: 7 or more years of experience in developing modern, enterprise-grade web applications with strong front-end expertise in technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, Angular, and/or React.

• 5 or more years of experience in designing intuitive, user-friendly document management or content-centric interfaces for a diverse range of users, including internal business teams, partners, and customers.

• 5 or more years of experience in integrating front-end applications with backend services, APIs, and middleware layers within complex enterprise environments.

• Proficient in programming using one or more industry-standard languages (e.g., Java, Python, Go, C++, JavaScript).

• Experienced in utilizing various data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.

• Skilled in relational databases, NoSQL, and caching solutions.

• Experienced in APIs using modern protocols like REST and gRPC.

• Proficient in message queuing, data streaming, workflow, and integration frameworks (such as Apache Kafka, Apache NiFi, Amazon SQS, MS MQ, Apache Camel, etc.).

• Knowledgeable in microservices architecture.

• Experienced in containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

• Proficient in leveraging DevSecOps practices to enhance engineering efficiency.

• Experienced in designing and implementing high-quality distributed application systems that are modular, configurable, maximize reuse, and are fast, effective, user-friendly, secure, compliant, scalable, and maintainable.

• Skilled in utilizing analytics data and experimentation to enhance systems for speed, scalability, and effectiveness.

• Possess strong problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Strong capability to collaborate and influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders to resolve impediments and achieve desired outcomes.

• Demonstrated leadership skills by mentoring and providing technical support to team members.

• Experienced in driving the technical strategy and vision for a team.

• Preferred: Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
