Junior Full-Stack Web Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines, +4 more countries.

📋 Description

• Develop and enhance both frontend and backend functionalities within the SaaS platform.

• Address and resolve bugs across the application.

• Design and modify user interfaces, forms, validation rules, and workflows.

• Collaborate with APIs, databases, and third-party integrations.

• Analyze and comprehend an existing codebase.

• Produce clean, maintainable, and well-structured code.

• Utilize Git for code management and teamwork with the engineering department.

• Engage in code reviews and implement feedback from senior developers.

• Support deployments and conduct post-deployment verification.

• Thoroughly test work prior to submission for review.

• Replicate and investigate issues reported by customers.

• Identify edge cases and unexpected user interactions.

• Draft clear bug reports that include reproduction steps, screenshots, or videos.

• Conduct regression testing.

• Suggest enhancements to usability, performance, and reliability.

• Transition from smaller tasks to taking complete ownership of features.

• Capability to independently read, comprehend, and assess code.

• Fundamental full-stack web development experience.

• Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Git.

• Familiarity with frontend frameworks like React.

• Basic knowledge of backend development, APIs, and databases.

• Skill in troubleshooting issues using browser developer tools and logs.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Ability to articulate thoughts clearly and pose insightful questions.

• Keen attention to detail with a commitment to testing one’s own work.

• Capacity to work independently and manage assigned responsibilities.

• Availability to work overnight locally during U.S. business hours.

• Dependable computer and internet connection.

• Familiarity with React, Next.js, and TypeScript.

• Experience in developing personal, school, freelance, or professional web applications.

• Experience with REST APIs and relational databases.

• Understanding of SaaS applications and subscription-based services.

• Experience with Asana or similar project management tools.

• A GitHub profile, portfolio, or working application showcasing skills.

• Previous experience collaborating with a remote international team.

• Professional experience is advantageous but not mandatory if strong technical ability is demonstrated through projects or practical work.
