This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Design, develop, and deploy the foundational agentic voice AI framework, which encompasses conversation orchestration, tool invocation, and runtime architecture.
• Create and enhance harness controls, including guardrails, grounding, policy assessments, and evaluations for reliable banking LLM agents.
• Analyze, measure, and optimize latency throughout every phase of the real-time voice pipeline.
• Streamline runtime architecture and eliminate configuration obstacles to enable rapid launch of new banking use cases.
• Ensure the stability and reliability of existing production systems.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams across Europe and Vancouver to transform ambiguous challenges into delivered results.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools on a daily basis and contribute to the establishment of standards for reviewing and validating agent-generated code.
• Set the strategic direction, remove obstacles for team members, and elevate engineering standards without resorting to micromanagement.
• Experience in producing AI systems.
• In-depth knowledge of LLM architecture, including prompting and context management, tool utilization and agentic workflows, retrieval and grounding, evaluation, as well as latency/cost/quality trade-offs.
• Experience in real-time or voice AI is highly advantageous.
• Familiarity with agent SDKs such as the Claude Agent SDK or OpenAI Agents SDK is a significant plus.
• Capability to design intricate components, make informed technical trade-offs, and identify risks at an early stage.
• Proven history of prompt and dependable delivery while ensuring quality, including the verification of agent-generated code.
• Regular use of AI-assisted development tools like Claude.
• Proactive in problem identification, collaborating with PMs, proposing solutions, and ensuring delivery.
• Adaptable in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities, tools, and AI technologies.
• Strong capacity for learning and a willingness to familiarize oneself with new tools and practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a distributed team.
• Availability to overlap at least 2 hours daily with Pacific Time, specifically from 9:00–11:00 AM PT.
• Leadership qualities; prior experience as a tech lead, team lead, or in mentorship roles is preferably desired.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher, as specified in the application question.
• Experience in creating or maintaining production applications using TypeScript, as mentioned in the application question.
• Professional experience with the JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystem, including frameworks and associated technologies.
• Experience leading projects that necessitate collaboration with multiple stakeholders, as noted in the application question.
• Experience in making or significantly influencing critical technical or architectural decisions on complex projects, as indicated in the application question.
