Senior Software Engineer – Backend

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Develop and maintain features within Restream's web services.

• Design and implement backend APIs along with the business logic required to support both new and existing features.

• Provide and receive constructive feedback during code reviews with team members.

• Stay informed about emerging technologies and identify hidden opportunities within our environment.

• Ensure the redundancy and resilience of Restream's production infrastructure.

• Build new features, design and implement innovative services, and enhance system reliability as both the product and organization expand.

⛳️ Requirements

• A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset that drives high-quality projects to completion swiftly.

• Expertise in at least one general-purpose programming language.

• Proficiency in Node.JS (TypeScript) or Rust is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Strong skills in database design, encompassing both relational and NoSQL databases (such as Scylla, Redis).

• Experience in creating, testing, consuming, and supporting APIs for web services.

• Comfortable working with AWS, Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, continuous deployment workflows, and a diverse programming languages tech stack.

• Basic front-end development skills.

• Familiarity with modern front-end frameworks is a plus.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Self-motivated, analytical, and able to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
