Senior Software Engineer – Backend

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the design and execution of intricate technical solutions, converting business needs into scalable and sustainable architectures.

• Contribute to and shape system architecture, microservices design, API architecture, event-driven systems, and integration methodologies.

• Collaborate across architecture, implementation, delivery, and operational excellence within an agile team setting.

• Partner closely with product managers, engineers, and QA to provide comprehensive end-to-end solutions.

• Automate repetitive testing, build, and deployment processes.

• Promote engineering best practices and uphold coding standards.

• Guide junior engineers and steer technical direction.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Over 10 years of backend engineering experience with a specialization in Java.

• Strong proficiency in Spring Boot, RESTful services, SOAP, WebSphere, and microservices architecture.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.

• Expertise in CI/CD pipelines, Git, Docker, and Kubernetes.

• Experience with messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.).

• Knowledge of product management methodologies and tools (Agile, Kanban, etc.).

• Strong problem-solving skills to address complex technical issues.

• Experience utilizing AI-assisted development tools like Claude, Cursor, or Augment AI to enhance coding, testing, documentation, and troubleshooting.

• Proven track record in leading the design, development, and implementation of sophisticated systems.

• Familiarity with unit testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito, Groovy).

• Experience in cloud development, deployment, and maintenance (AWS, GCP).

• Knowledge or practical experience with both relational and NoSQL databases (Couchbase, MongoDB), including database optimization techniques.
