Senior Back-end Developer, AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop and advance AI agents that engage with users and execute tasks within the product.

• Create integrations that link agents to the system, including tools and MCP servers, to securely query and modify data.

• Ensure that the responses generated by agents are precise and consistent with the system’s data.

• Assess response quality and enhance prompts, context, and workflows based on the findings.

• Maintain agent stability despite failures and constraints from AI model providers.

• Write unit and integration tests.

• Engage in code reviews and contribute to the team’s technical decisions.

• Take part in sprint cycles and oversee deliveries until they reach production.

⛳️ Requirements

• Solid back-end expertise in Java, Python, or TypeScript, with an openness to working with Java.

• Experience in developing REST APIs, including version management.

• Familiarity with back-end frameworks such as Spring Boot, FastAPI, or NestJS.

• Understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MySQL) and ORM utilization, like JPA/Hibernate.

• Experience with unit testing.

• Proficient in using Git.

• Knowledge of Clean Code principles and Design Patterns.

• Practical experience with AI tools in daily development (Claude Code, Codex, or similar).

• Hands-on experience in building features with AI models (LLMs), including invoking model APIs, using tools (tool/function calling), and managing model responses.

• Familiarity with AI agent frameworks such as Spring AI, LangChain, OpenAI Agents SDK, or similar.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

• Nice to have: production experience with agents or AI features integrated into systems; context engineering, prompts, conversation memory, and RAG; response quality assessment and agent observability; Model Context Protocol (MCP); NoSQL databases (Redis, MongoDB); Docker, Docker Compose, and Kubernetes.
