Senior Golang Back-End Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain backend services in Go, prioritizing performance, scalability, and resilience.

• Create and enhance RESTful APIs with well-defined contracts and documentation utilizing Swagger/OpenAPI.

• Construct and oversee high-throughput data pipelines that process events from Kafka.

• Engage in architectural decision-making and establish best practices for the service ecosystem.

• Implement and refine observability features through structured logging, metrics, and distributed tracing.

• Guarantee the quality, reliability, and security of services operating in production.

• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers within an agile, cross-functional setting.

• Contribute to the ongoing development of the platform and the integration of emerging technologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant professional experience.

• Significant experience in developing complex backend services in production settings, ideally using Go.

• Proficiency in other compiled, strongly typed programming languages.

• Expertise in creating and enhancing RESTful APIs, including request validation, error handling, and documentation using Swagger/OpenAPI.

• Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging systems utilizing Kafka.

• Skilled in managing delayed, replayed, or out-of-order events.

• Familiarity with relational and/or time-series databases, encompassing data modeling, migrations, and query optimization.

• Experience with observability tools such as DataDog, Grafana, Prometheus, or similar solutions.

• Knowledge of Docker and containerized environments.

• Experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS.

• Background in working on agile product development teams.

• Experience with caching layers like Redis for high-performance scenarios.

• Intermediate proficiency in English.

• Preferred: experience with distributed query engines for data lakes, such as Trino or Presto.

• Preferred: experience integrating LLM-based solutions, such as AWS Bedrock.

• Preferred: interest in participating in architectural discussions and the technical evolution of the platform.
