This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Identify and take ownership of high-impact automation projects from start to finish.
• Detect friction points within engineering, operations, and compliance, replacing them with dependable software solutions.
• Automate workflows related to regulatory and compliance tasks, encompassing compliant software releases, evidence collection, traceability, documentation, approvals, and routine compliance activities.
• Enhance engineering productivity and developer experience via CI, release tools, debugging utilities, internal developer tools, and automation of repetitive tasks.
• Develop AI-powered internal workflows for conversation annotation, data labeling, evaluation, structured extraction, review, triage, and agentic processes.
• Merge large language models (LLMs) with deterministic software, validation, monitoring, and human oversight where suitable.
• Integrate both internal and external systems seamlessly.
• Create reliable, maintainable production software that includes testing, observability, auditability, and failure management.
• Refine solutions based on user feedback and usage metrics.
• Over 5 years of professional experience in software engineering.
• Preferably experience in backend development, platform engineering, developer productivity, internal tools, or other generalist engineering roles.
• Strong foundation in software engineering principles.
• Proficient in Python programming.
• Experience in building backend services, APIs, databases, and reliable production systems.
• Capability to independently transform ambiguous operational or engineering challenges into concrete technical solutions.
• Strong decision-making skills regarding system design, testing, reliability, and maintainability.
• Proven ability to work quickly and take full ownership from end to end.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
• Experience with production AI- or LLM-enabled automation, including structured outputs, tool utilization, evaluation, monitoring, and safeguards is highly desirable.
• Experience in enhancing developer productivity, CI/CD, release engineering, or internal tooling is highly desirable.
• Experience with regulatory, compliance, quality, security, or other auditable workflows is highly desirable.
• Experience building internal systems in an early-stage or rapidly growing company is highly desirable.
• Must currently be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
