This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the Marketing Operations Data Mart, which includes acquiring new data fields and overseeing reference tables.

• Collaborate with IT as business requirements change.

• Administer and provide campaign audience lists and segment files for Capella campaigns.

• Act as the subject matter expert for inquiries related to marketing data, field selection, data access, and USHE data interpretation.

• Address ad hoc data requests from teams beyond the Marketing department.

• Offer strategic data consulting and recognize opportunities for segmentation and audience strategy.

• Conduct audits of data processes and reports to discover gaps and areas for improvement.

• Partner with IT and Data Engineering teams across Marketing.

• Function as Marketing’s embedded AI resource, acting as both a builder and enabler.

• Create automations, API integrations, and tools powered by AI.

• Design and manage workflow automations in platforms such as Adobe Workfront Fusion.

• Test and pilot AI use cases while measuring workflow and initiative performance and adoption.

• Resolve issues related to system integrations, API connections, and workflow errors.

• Uphold best practices in prompt management and offer guidance on AI implementation.

• Stay informed about emerging AI tools and capabilities pertinent to marketing.

• Detect workflow inefficiencies and develop scalable, repeatable automation-first solutions.

• Aid in the transition to structured and normalized AI practices throughout Marketing.


⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in SQL, with experience in analytic and data retrieval tools (SAS, SQL, and/or R).

• Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or JavaScript for data manipulation and custom automation (preferred).

• Strong technical background with enterprise data systems and data mart environments.

• Familiarity with Email Service Platforms, preferably Eloqua.

• Extensive experience in audience identification, segmentation, and best practices for list management.

• Proficient with AI tools, large language models, and prompt engineering.

• Experience in building automations, API integrations, or workflow tools; familiarity with Adobe Workfront, Adobe Workfront Fusion, Zapier, Make, or similar platforms.

• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

• Skill in identifying, assessing, and evaluating process improvement opportunities.

• Excellent organizational and planning capabilities.

• Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

• Capacity for innovation and execution.

• Effective communication with both immediate teams and other departments, demonstrating a strong leadership presence.

• Proven ability to influence change and facilitate the adoption of new tools and practices.

• Ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment.

• Strategic mindset with the capacity to influence at multiple levels.

• Internal motivation for continuous learning and growth.

• 5–8 years of experience in marketing operations, data operations, or a related field.

• Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with all levels of management, staff, external vendors, and others.

• Understanding of business and management principles and practices.

• Familiarity with project management principles and practices.

• Strong database and data management skills.

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required.

• Willingness to travel occasionally as business needs arise.

• Must meet critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, computer access, and scheduling requirements.

• Availability to work more than 40 hours per week when business demands require.
