HCM Test Automation, Quality Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Create, implement, and manage detailed testing strategies and plans for Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM.

• Develop and sustain automated testing suites utilizing tools such as OATS, Selenium, or their equivalents.

• Conduct parallel payroll validation testing in comparison to legacy system outputs.

• Carry out Section 508 accessibility evaluations in accordance with WCAG 2.1 AA standards.

• Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with agency stakeholders, encompassing scenario creation, tester training, defect management, and tracking of sign-off processes.

• Design and perform performance and load testing.

• Manage defect tracking utilizing JIRA or similar tools.

• Test integration interfaces with federal systems, including EHRI, eOPF, USA Staffing, payroll providers, Employee Express, and MyPay.

• Validate deployments of Oracle quarterly updates through focused regression testing.

• Engage in SAFe Agile ceremonies and contribute to enhancements in continuous testing.

• Develop and keep updated test plans, test cases, traceability matrices, and execution summary documentation.

• Address moderate functional and technical challenges and contribute to knowledge repositories.

• Provide updates on progress, technical methodologies, and quality status to project stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance (U.S. citizenship is mandatory).

• A Bachelor’s degree along with 5 years of relevant experience; additional experience may be considered in lieu of the degree.

• Over 5 years of professional experience in software quality assurance, test engineering, or test automation for enterprise applications.

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with automation tools like Selenium, OATS, Tricentis Tosca, or equivalent.

• Experience in functional, integration, regression, and performance testing for cloud-based enterprise applications, ideally Oracle Fusion Cloud or Oracle ERP Cloud.

• Proficient in JIRA, HP ALM, or Azure DevOps Test Plans.

• Strong knowledge of SAFe Agile continuous testing methodologies, including Test-Driven Development (TDD) and shift-left approaches.

• Experience in coordinating UAT tasks with business stakeholders, including planning, execution, and defect management.

• Exceptional analytical and communication abilities.

• Desired: 6+ years of testing experience with at least one major Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM or Oracle ERP Cloud implementation.

• Desired: ISTQB Foundation or Advanced Level certification.

• Desired: Familiarity with JMeter, Gatling, or Oracle Load Testing.

• Desired: Experience conducting Section 508 accessibility testing using tools like ANDI, axe, or JAWS.

• Desired: Understanding of federal HR business processes, including payroll, benefits administration, and personnel action workflows.

• Desired: Knowledge of parallel payroll validation techniques and automated payroll comparison testing.

• Desired: Scripting capabilities in Python, JavaScript, or Groovy.

• Desired: Familiarity with Oracle Cloud technologies, including OIC or OCI, in enterprise HCM or ERP settings.
