HCM Test Automation, Quality Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement thorough testing strategies and plans for Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM.

• Create and uphold automated testing frameworks utilizing OATS, Selenium, or similar tools.

• Conduct parallel payroll validation against legacy system outputs and address discrepancies prior to production cutover.

• Execute Section 508 accessibility assessments in compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA standards.

• Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with agency stakeholders, which includes scenario development, training for testers, defect triage, and tracking sign-offs.

• Design and carry out performance and load testing activities.

• Manage defect tracking using JIRA or comparable tools.

• Test integration interfaces with federal systems such as EHRI, eOPF, USA Staffing, payroll providers, Employee Express, and MyPay.

• Confirm Oracle's quarterly updates through focused regression testing.

• Engage in SAFe Agile ceremonies and strive for continuous testing enhancements.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, traceability matrices, and summaries of test execution reports.

• Analyze and independently resolve intricate functional and technical challenges.

• Mentor junior team members and act as a technical resource across the program.

• Lead smaller work efforts and technical initiatives, perform technical reviews, and guide junior consultants.

⛳️ Requirements

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance is required.

• US citizenship is mandatory.

• Bachelor’s degree along with 7 years of relevant professional experience; additional experience may replace the educational requirement.

• Over 7 years of experience in software quality assurance (QA), test engineering, or test automation for enterprise applications.

• More than 5 years of practical experience with automation tools such as Selenium, OATS, Tricentis Tosca, or equivalent.

• Experience with functional, integration, regression, and performance testing for cloud-based enterprise applications, ideally Oracle Fusion Cloud or Oracle ERP Cloud.

• Proficient in JIRA, HP ALM, or Azure DevOps Test Plans.

• Strong grasp of SAFe Agile continuous testing methodologies, including test-driven development and shift-left strategies.

• Experience in coordinating UAT efforts, including test planning, execution support, and defect triage.

• Exceptional analytical and communication abilities.

• Preferred: Over 8 years of testing experience with at least one major Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM or Oracle ERP Cloud implementation.

• ISTQB Foundation or Advanced certification is preferred.

• Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, Gatling, or Oracle Load Testing.

• Familiarity with Section 508 accessibility testing tools like ANDI, axe, or JAWS.

• Understanding of federal HR processes, including payroll, benefits administration, and personnel action workflows.

• Experience with methodologies for parallel payroll validation and automated payroll comparison testing.

• Scripting skills in Python, JavaScript, or Groovy.

• Experience with Oracle Integration Cloud or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure in enterprise HCM or ERP settings.
