Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop, configure, and sustain decision engines and business rules on the FICO Blaze Advisor platform.

• Implement and optimize prior authorization rules, ensuring they align with business objectives.

• Guarantee the availability, performance, and scalability of deployed solutions.

• Analyze, test, and validate business rules and decision processes.

• Identify and address operational risks associated with decision engines.

• Assist in the implementation of ongoing enhancements to authorization and decision-making workflows.

• Collaborate closely with business units and technical teams to collect and clarify requirements.

• Monitor rule performance in production, assist with incident resolution, and make necessary adjustments.

• Document functionalities, configurations, and modifications made to the platform.

• Contribute to the governance, quality, and advancement of decision engines and business rules.

⛳️ Requirements

• Expertise in development, configuration, and support utilizing FICO Blaze Advisor (Rule Studio and Rule Maintenance Application – RMA).

• Experience in business rule modeling and architecture, inclusive of decision tables, decision trees, scorecards, and ruleflows.

• Strong knowledge of Java for integration with decision engines.

• Experience with integrations using REST and SOAP APIs.

• Familiarity with communication and data exchange formats such as JSON and XML.

• Proficiency in SQL for querying, integrating, and optimizing relational databases.

• Experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, and/or SQL Server databases.

• Ability to analyze, develop, and sustain complex business rules.

• Experience in supporting, monitoring, and enhancing decision engines in production settings.

• Preferred: prior experience in prior authorization environments, payment methods, or high-volume financial systems.

• Preferred: knowledge of microservices architecture, messaging systems (Kafka/RabbitMQ), and CI/CD pipelines.
