Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and deploy full-stack features from start to finish, covering API design to a polished and accessible user interface.

• Lead decisions on front-end architecture, focusing on component patterns, state management, performance, and the evolution of design systems.

• Implement front-end and account management testing tools, methodologies, and coverage strategies.

• Maintain and enhance scalable Python APIs.

• Collaborate on data modeling and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure.

• Regularly utilize AI tools such as Claude Code, Codex, Gemini, or similar for code prompting, reviewing, and refining.

• Participate in a low-volume L3 third-level on-call rotation.

• Provide mentorship to team members through code reviews, pairing, and documentation.

• Work asynchronously with colleagues based in the US and Japan.

• Take ownership of features from inception to completion and engage directly with customers as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant full-stack professional experience, with a proven ability to work independently across the entire stack and to lead technical decisions.

• Proficient in at least one major cloud platform, especially GCP; capable of designing, deploying, and managing production workloads in the cloud.

• Strong expertise in front-end development with React and the modern JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystem.

• Excellent UI design skills, including spacing, hierarchy, responsiveness, and accessibility.

• Backend proficiency in Python, or a demonstrated capability to quickly become productive in Python.

• Practical experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, along with REST/GraphQL API design.

• Proficient use of AI coding assistants in real production settings.

• Comfortable navigating across the stack and driving features to completion without requiring a clear handoff at every stage.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience with Python web frameworks like FastAPI, Django, or Flask is a plus.

• Familiarity with modern React tools such as Next.js, Tailwind, or shadcn/ui is beneficial.

• Basic literacy in DevOps and CI pipelines is advantageous.

• Experience integrating LLM APIs into production applications is a plus.

• Background in design systems, component libraries, or design-engineering collaboration is desirable.

• Interest in image/video processing, computer graphics, or web performance is a plus.
