Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software throughout the complete development lifecycle.

• Tackle complex technical and architectural challenges using solid engineering principles.

• Contribute to the development of APIs, backend systems, and cloud platforms utilizing modern Microsoft technologies.

• Collaborate with product, engineering, and leadership teams to implement strategic initiatives.

• Analyze, diagnose, and resolve challenging production and performance issues.

• Employ clean code, object-oriented design, and best practices in software engineering.

• Facilitate technical decision-making, conduct code reviews, and promote knowledge sharing within the team.

• Appropriately leverage AI tools while ensuring quality and ownership.

• Identify areas for enhancing systems, processes, scalability, and reliability.

• Shape architecture and enhance platform capabilities.

• Assist in future initiatives involving distributed systems, AI-enabled functionalities, search technologies, and large-scale APIs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive professional experience in software development using C# and modern .NET.

• Strong grasp of software engineering fundamentals, algorithms, system design, and problem-solving techniques.

• Proficiency in ASP.NET Core, Web APIs, Entity Framework Core, and SQL Server.

• Experience with Azure services, including web applications, functions, databases, event hubs, and storage solutions.

• Solid understanding of testing practices, version control, and Agile delivery methodologies.

• Ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• C1 level English proficiency or native-level fluency.

• A degree in STEM/Computer Science or equivalent evidence of advanced engineering capabilities and analytical problem-solving skills.

• Capability to work effectively in a fully remote setting.

• Experience with search and indexing technologies is desirable.

• Background in AI/ML-enabled products or AI-assisted development workflows is desirable.

• Experience in distributed systems and scalability optimization is desirable.

• Familiarity with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines is desirable.

• Experience with REST API documentation and Swagger/OpenAPI is desirable.

• Familiarity with Duende Identity Server is desirable.

• Experience with source generation in .NET is desirable.

• Exposure to frontend technologies like React and full-stack development is desirable.
