Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Engage in every phase of the DrChrono software development lifecycle for both new application creation and ongoing system maintenance.

• Collect, document, and assess requirements.

• Develop, test, launch, and showcase software solutions.

• Generate systems documentation.

• Take part in daily stand-ups and retrospectives.

• Provide mentorship and collaborate with developers.

• Execute code reviews.

• Create prototypes for potential solutions.

• Collaborate with developers, quality assurance testers, and product owners as part of an agile team.

• Code, test, and deploy software (70%).

• Engage in mentoring, pairing, and code reviews (20%).

• Conduct requirement estimation and software spikes (5%).

• Participate in meetings, presentations, and demonstrations (5%).

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional software development experience.

• More than 3 years of experience in writing production backend code using Python and Django.

• At least 3 years of experience in front-end web development with HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript.

• A minimum of 2 years' experience working with React and Typescript.

• Over 3 years of experience in Test Automation, Mocking, Stubs, etc.

• Familiarity with Relational Databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, or similar.

• Demonstrated expertise in algorithms, refactoring, and engineering best practices (DRY, SOLID, etc).

• Proficient in Git.

• A strong desire to coach and mentor less experienced team members.

• Experience in conducting code reviews.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to tailor communication to the audience.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science is preferred, or equivalent experience.

• Must be eligible to work without sponsorship.

• Experience with test-driven development, Agile and Scrum methodologies, and familiarity with Developer experience AI tools are advantageous.
