Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Engage in all facets of the DrChrono software development lifecycle for both new application creation and ongoing system maintenance.

• Collect and document project requirements.

• Assess project requirements.

• Design and develop software solutions.

• Execute automated unit testing.

• Implement software deployments.

• Lead software demonstration sessions.

• Update and maintain system documentation.

• Take part in daily stand-ups and retrospective meetings.

• Provide mentorship and collaborate with fellow developers.

• Create prototypes as needed.

• Collaborate with developers, quality assurance testers, and product owners within an agile team to deliver reliable, high-quality software.

• Code, test, and deploy software (70%).

• Conduct mentoring, pairing, and code reviews (20%).

• Engage in requirement estimation and software spikes (5%).

• Participate in meetings, presentations, and demonstrations (5%).

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience in software development.

• At least 3 years of experience writing production backend code using Python and Django.

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in front-end web development with HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript.

• Over 2 years of experience working with React and Typescript.

• At least 3 years of experience in Test Automation, including Mocking and Stubs.

• Familiarity with Relational Databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MariaDB.

• Proven expertise in algorithms, refactoring, and engineering best practices (e.g., DRY, SOLID).

• Proficient in using Git.

• Experience in conducting code reviews.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.

• Must be eligible to work without sponsorship.

• Preferred qualifications include experience in test-driven development, Agile and Scrum methodologies, and familiarity with developer experience AI tools.
