Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with remote software development, quality assurance, project management, and product management teams to deliver high-quality software.

• Engage in daily standup meetings.

• Design and build features for a cloud-based commercial tax software application.

• Write high-quality code to develop new features and address issues.

• Conduct peer code reviews and recommend enhancements.

• Execute unit testing and automate integration testing.

• Assess, learn, recommend, and implement new technologies.

• Diagnose and resolve complex technical problems.

• Ensure code adheres to performance, security, and scalability standards.

• Document and maintain detailed software documentation.

• Mentor and guide junior software engineers.

• Take part in project planning and provide development estimates.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in full stack software design and development.

• Proficient in C#, .NET, ASP.NET, TypeScript, and React.

• Experience with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.

• Familiar with microservice architecture.

• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Azure Container Apps, or Azure K8 Service.

• Strong problem-solving abilities.

• Capable of programming and working independently.

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

• Expertise in object-oriented design, patterns, and programming.

• Proficient in unit and integration testing of code.

• Proven track record of delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

• Experience with modern front-end frameworks like Next.js, Vue.js, or Svelte is advantageous.

• Familiarity with cloud computing concepts and best practices is beneficial.

• Experience with agile development methodologies.

• Ability to juggle multiple tasks concurrently.
