Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Serve as a technical leader on a full-stack product team by architecting, designing, and developing features and services for arrivia’s travel platform.

• Implement standardized coding tools for agents across engineering teams while establishing best practices, prompt libraries, and workflows.

• Assess and validate AI-generated code to ensure correctness, security, performance, and maintainability.

• Refresh outdated services through refactoring, migration, and adopting a cloud-native distributed design.

• Create patterns and platforms that automate testing, documentation, code review triage, and deployment checks on a large scale.

• Design integrations for Model Context Protocol that connect AI agents to internal tools, data, and platform services.

• Drive enhancements in the development and operations of a distributed architecture across various cloud platforms.

• Protect sensitive member data in collaboration with Risk and Security teams.

• Implement processes aimed at increasing delivery speed, isolating impact, and establishing and achieving system SLOs.

• Mentor engineers in AI-assisted development, prompt engineering, and the design of agentic workflows.

• Make influential architectural and strategic decisions that balance innovation, risk, scalability, and business impact.

• Shape technology investment choices and engineering standards across multiple teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in full-stack development and architecture for building web applications and services.

• Expert-level proficiency in utilizing AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot within professional workflows.

• Strong skills in two or more programming languages, including TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, or C#/.NET.

• Extensive experience with modern frontend frameworks like React, Next.js, Vue, or Angular.

• Proven success in architecting and delivering cloud-native solutions on platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Significant experience with RESTful API design and microservices architecture.

• In-depth understanding of the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and experience in architecting MCP server ecosystems.

• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.

• History of leading technical designs, mentoring engineers across teams, and enhancing engineering maturity.
