Senior Software Engineer, Applied AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create and develop production-level AI agent systems, which encompass multi-agent workflows, orchestration layers, and associated services.

• Design retrieval, context, and memory systems that anchor AI outputs and facilitate dependable multi-step workflows.

• Build AI-driven decision-support systems that adhere to accuracy, traceability, and explainability standards within healthcare and regulated settings.

• Construct distributed backend services, event-driven workers, job pipelines, APIs, and relational data models.

• Develop high-quality user experiences utilizing React and TypeScript.

• Implement AI quality-assurance methodologies, including automated assessments, regression testing, groundedness evaluations, and compliance safeguards.

• Assess models and frameworks based on criteria such as accuracy, latency, reliability, privacy, security, and cost-effectiveness.

• Guide engineers and contribute to enhancing engineering standards throughout the team.

• Collaborate closely with the Product team, taking ownership of outcomes from problem identification and specification to validation and delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of five years of software engineering experience, including responsibility for complex systems from design through to production.

• Practical experience in building and managing production AI applications, beyond just prototypes.

• Direct experience with agentic software development utilizing AI coding agents.

• In-depth knowledge in at least one key area, such as Python backend and distributed systems, or React and TypeScript product engineering.

• Capability to work across the entire system spectrum.

• Familiarity with retrieval, embeddings, context, memory, evaluation, monitoring, or AI agent architectures and workflows.

• Strong decision-making skills in testing, monitoring, failure management, privacy, security, access control, and data governance.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
