Senior Software Development Engineer in Test – Automation Frameworks

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Develop regression automation scripts that enhance application functionality

• Validate and verify software against established criteria

• Conduct smoke, regression, integration, performance, and various other testing types

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of feature behavior

• Log test pass/fail outcomes and link failures to bug identification

• Recognize and communicate risks related to product or process quality

• Collaborate with the product team throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and product release phases

• Work alongside customer-facing teams to integrate user feedback into the testing strategy

• Engage in refinement and effort estimations for precise planning

• Utilize GitHub for managing automation repositories, executing custom scripts, and promoting automated quality practices

• Participate in an on-call rotation

• Ensure the software releases meet high-quality standards and consistently enhance testing processes

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in a software quality assurance role

• More than 7 years of experience in automated testing

• Proficient in JavaScript, TypeScript, Gherkin, SQL, and Ruby on Rails

• Familiar with automated testing frameworks such as Jest/Puppeteer, Playwright, Postman, JMeter, or similar object-oriented automated testing frameworks

• Experience with GitHub Actions, LambdaTest, SendGrid, Datadog, and PagerDuty

• Knowledge of quality management systems and quality control processes

• Background in data-driven testing and/or security-focused testing

• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• A holistic quality mindset

• Availability to work remotely from 4:30 PM to 1:30 AM IST to support a US-based customer

• Participation in an on-call rotation
