Senior QA Engineer, Senior Software Test Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Turkey.

📋 Description

• Contribute to a comprehensive test strategy for web applications, spanning from planning to release.

• Design, develop, and sustain scalable test automation frameworks utilizing Selenium and Playwright with Java.

• Integrate and oversee automated test suites within Jenkins CI/CD pipelines, employing GitHub-based workflows.

• Utilize AI tools for enhancing test design, generating test data, conducting code reviews, and analyzing defects.

• Investigate and implement agentic architectures and multi-agent workflows to streamline and expedite QA processes.

• Conduct functional, regression, API, and exploratory testing activities.

• Monitor quality metrics and assist in readiness assessments for releases.

• Engage in test code review processes.

• Collaborate with developers, product managers, designers, engineering teams, and external third-party integrators.

• Enhance testing methodologies and champion quality best practices.

• Take part in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

• Diagnose and resolve issues as they arise.

• Investigate new technologies and develop prototypes for innovative ideas.

• Ensure that delivered software meets high standards of testability and quality.

• Translate product visions into tests and pinpoint key risk areas in new solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in software testing, including a minimum of 5 years in test automation.

• Strong practical experience with Selenium and Playwright.

• Solid programming expertise in Java; ability to produce clean and maintainable test code.

• Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.

• Proficient in Git and GitHub, including strategies for branching, pull requests, code reviews, and GitHub Actions.

• Hands-on experience with AI tools, such as LLM-based assistants and AI coding agents.

• Understanding of agentic systems and concepts related to AI-driven automation.

• Experience with API testing utilizing Postman and REST Assured.

• Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools like Jira and TestRail.

• ISTQB Foundation Level certification is required.

• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies is essential.

• Excellent communication skills are a must.

• A Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field is required.

• Proficient in English, both written and spoken.

• Accommodation in Istanbul is necessary.

• Experience in mobile test automation, particularly with Appium and iOS/Android, is highly advantageous.

• Familiarity with Docker and containerized testing environments is considered a strong asset.

• Experience with performance testing tools, such as JMeter and k6, is a significant plus.

• ISTQB Advanced Level or CT-AI certification is highly desirable.
