Senior Software Development Engineer in Test

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Engage in evaluations of functional and product designs

• Integrate feedback to formulate detailed test plans and test cases

• Design, create, and sustain automated testing frameworks and test suites for functionality, integration, load, and performance

• Develop and implement testing strategies for new features and platform functionalities

• Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, architects, release engineers, and program managers

• Construct and enhance automation infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines

• Create and manage automated API, UI, and system-level tests

• Detect gaps in test coverage and bolster service reliability and scalability

• Investigate defects and resolve issues

• Advance quality engineering practices and tools

• Validate distributed systems functioning on Akamai’s global infrastructure

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software quality engineering or SDET positions

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, or a related discipline

• Proficient in Java and/or Python

• Knowledge of object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms

• Significant experience in developing test automation frameworks

• Practical experience with Cypress, Selenium WebDriver, or comparable UI automation tools

• Familiarity with cross-browser testing platforms like BrowserStack

• Experience in testing RESTful APIs and web services through both manual and automated methods

• Knowledge of test design methodologies, automation best practices, CI/CD integration, and SQL databases

• Skills in debugging and troubleshooting

• Understanding of Internet technologies and protocols, including HTTP/HTTPS, web services, proxies, and web servers
