Mobile Test Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland, +6 more countries.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and carry out both automated and manual testing for mobile applications on iOS and Android platforms.

• Develop and sustain mobile automation suites utilizing XCUITest and Espresso.

• Conduct functional, regression, integration, exploratory, usability, and end-to-end testing on actual devices as well as emulators.

• Identify failures, explore defects, and collaborate with engineering teams to uncover root causes.

• Create test plans, test cases, testing procedures, and comprehensive release-quality reports.

• Incorporate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and oversee the stability of tests and infrastructure.

• Work alongside developers, product managers, and partner engineering teams throughout the Agile development lifecycle.

• Recognize cross-platform impact areas and deliver risk-based test coverage for new features and experiments.

• Contribute to enhancing quality practices across unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.

• Estimate testing efforts and operate independently in a dynamic environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in building or maintaining automation frameworks for mobile applications.

• Proficient hands-on experience with XCUITest and Espresso, including framework development, maintenance, debugging, and CI execution.

• Extensive experience in testing mobile applications on iOS and Android platforms.

• Experience in constructing scalable mobile automation frameworks and integrating them into CI/CD pipelines.

• In-depth knowledge of mobile QA methodologies, SDLC, test strategies, and test documentation.

• Strong understanding of mobile platforms, device fragmentation, networking, permissions, notifications, deep links, and app lifecycle behaviors.

• Capability to independently develop test plans and coverage strategies based on product requirements.

• Excellent exploratory testing and risk-assessment abilities.

• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments with frequent or weekly production releases.

• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and typical test management systems.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficiency in English as required by the application form.

• Legal authorization to work in the country where the position is located.

• Preferred: experience in testing social, community, messaging, or user-generated content platforms at scale.

• Preferred: experience in testing across iOS, Android, web, and mobile web platforms.

• Preferred: experience with API testing and backend validation.

• Preferred: experience in testing experiments, feature flags, personalization, feeds, notifications, and user-generated content.

• Preferred: experience supporting frequent or weekly production release cycles.
