This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +12 more states.
β’ Support the establishment of software development project plans, encompassing scoping, scheduling, and implementation.
β’ Create, write, translate, and code software applications in accordance with specifications.
β’ Develop new programming scripts and modify existing ones to improve functionality and/or performance.
β’ Design, execute, and oversee software performance testing on both new and existing applications.
β’ Identify and rectify errors, pinpoint areas for enhancement, and conduct general debugging.
β’ Assess test outcomes and provide solutions for identified issues.
β’ Compile statistics and generate reports for management and/or team members regarding programming progress.
β’ Investigate emerging software products, programming languages, and standards in application development.
β’ Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to less experienced development personnel.
β’ Educate end users on the operation of new or modified software programs.
β’ Research, design, document, and revise software specifications throughout the production lifecycle.
β’ Engage in compliance program objectives and carry out additional duties as assigned.
β’ A college diploma or a university degree in computer science, information systems, or software engineering.
β’ A minimum of 3 years of professional programming experience.
β’ Strong understanding of coding techniques and best practices.
β’ Practical knowledge or experience with source control systems such as TFS and GitHub.
β’ Experience in interviewing end-users regarding functionality, interface, issues, and usability concerns.
β’ Hands-on experience in developing test cases and test plans.
β’ Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Agile project management tools like Jira and Azure DevOps.
β’ Working knowledge or experience with cloud-first, API-first, and microservice strategies.
β’ Understanding or experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
β’ Experience in building cloud-native applications utilizing AWS, Azure, or GCP.
β’ Capability to engage in, adhere to, and support compliance program goals.
β’ Ability to interact cooperatively and respectfully with colleagues.
